You are doing it right. Most people are using the newer script @ http://beta.linux-bench.com which you can use by doing (as su/ root): curl http://linux-bench.com/lb-test.sh | bash

OK, there's the updated run, I think. I kicked it off right before bed and had an extended power outage while I slept, so I'm not 100% that's my run. But unless anyone else ran it on a N3700 last night, that should be it. And Jeggs101, it looks like the beta posted to both. Thanks for bearing with me as I struggle my way through this.

Serving it over http and having it run immediately by root seems like a security issue.

Can you change it to https and not make it available from http. That will definitely help people from getting man-in-the-middled.

My assumption right now is that people are running this from a LiveCD which usually has no password on the su account anyway.

But to that end, we are moving Linux-Bench to the Fremont datacenter's new cluster hopefully this weekend. The cert is ready to go. Just trying to minimize change.
