Which ones were the Intel P-Series Drives prone to early Failure ? Was it the P3600 or the P4600, which IIRC was "fixed" in a **05 Series, while the Current Customers of the other Series, if outside Warranty, were left on their Own ?

that's not a bad deal. Worth noting that these are Chinese imports so you need to add to that a 20%-ish customs fees.

In that size in nvme, I only see AIC cards that are cheaper.

I would not hold the fact that the seller is chinese against them. I had very good experiences with chinese sellers, except one scammer which if I had paid attention was kind of obvious to spot. In this case the seller has over 1000 sales and a 100% rating, and the feedbacks are related to similar products. I don't know the seller but nothing in his profile screams scammer.

The machines I am working on, I only could do NVMe, but I have another server that I might rebuild that has a SAS controller. So I might hit you up as I am indeed in the UK, but I want to sort out these machines first.

The P4600 reportedly gives false temperature warnings on the PCIe bus and there are other firmware issues causing it to drop off the PCIe bus randomly. There's a firmware release update from 2023 which is very hopeful and that seems to address the issues it has. So as long as the drives aren't DOA and I sit down for an afternoon doing updates, I hope it will be fine.

Just following up, I got the drives.

They're at 4-6% wear, they were the old firmware, so I reset and upgraded them.
