Intel P3605 in an Intel R2208WF

Hello everyone,
Just got a NIB 1.6TB Intel P3605 SSD for dirt cheap, it works fine in my chassis, is there any reason to attempt to upgrade the firmware? I read and printed an article on doing the upgrade on a Ubuntu machine, if it’s not a gotta do it update, then I’ll use as is.

A firmware update that prevents the device from potentially bricking itself on initial power on would be a good reason to do so. Just be sure to install the bridge FW before updating to the latest FW if your device shipped with an old FW version.

Thank you for the information, so, is there a way of updating the firmware without standing up a Ubuntu box? I have the SSD installed in server 2022.
