Yikes , 24watts ! But I assume that’s only reading / writing. The idle on these things if I recall is still reasonable ?

Then again performance costs , if you need it the resulting heat is likely not an issue as you have a high power rack server already with lots of fans.

agree. AIC = thumbs down. That said I hope the price per GB on these higher capacity models is more reasonable than that lower capacity ones.

Intel and new tech...there will probably be an additional price premium on the higher capacity, not a discount per/GB.

sure. Not hoping for discount, just "reasonable" pricing. maybe once optane dimm's come out.
