Intel bids 6bn $ for Mellanox

According to german it news site Golem and their source Intel bids 6billion $ for Mellanox.

I'm wondering what will happen if Mellanox accepts the offer and how the future would look for infiniband and omni-path.

Wow, bit happy but sad, good combination of IP but also removing competition from the market is not always good.
