They lowered prices from $599 to $549 recently.
I have been talking to a few vendors on their plans. I "think" where we are going to settle is in the $400-$450 street price range for the Intel C2750 Avoton and C2758 Rangeley platforms.
The quad core models based on the Intel C2550 series processors should land in the $325-360 range.
The other thing we have heard is that Intel is keeping C2750 and C2550 prices relatively high, so prices are looking more like a standard server oriented (with IPMI enabled BMC and ECC memory) Core i3 setup rather than a lower cost platform.
