Mine arrived today.

Absolute worst packing job ever. It was in an envelope. That's all, just an envelope. It doesn't seem to be damaged and it checks out OK, but still, it could have ended badly.

I got three of my four yesterday (He sent four to someone who bought three and three to me:confused:). Mine came in a box with some bubble wrap and then the drives were in plain paper envelopes. He was a bit slow to ship the last drive but otherwise things seem alright.

They are older drives, but rock solid. The Hitachi drives in that review are SAS drives based off of an Intel controller with Intel NAND, like the S3700, just with more over provisioning and a SAS interface.

I bought one for 275. Tried a few best offers lower than that but none were accepted. Hopefully, I won't have problems getting this set up and running with my Supermicro X9DRi-LN4F+ board. When I get it, I will figure out how much duty it has seen and post it

Yeah @daniel1926 he denied all my offers :( $275 for 800GB is still a good price, and still trending down down down :)
