I suppose you would need to (try to) compile it yourself but I suppose if this is your main concern, you have selected the wrong platform. OpenIndiana is perfect if you want a near to native ZFS environment on a free Solaris fork that follows the idea of OpenSolaris with a minimal server and a GUI version even with desktop apps.

If you mainly want a GUI, use Mate (MATE Desktop Environment) as this is fully supported on OpenIndiana, part of the desktop edition, MATE 1.18 Desktop - OpenIndiana - OpenIndiana Wiki
