Recently I purchased several pairs of Dell ReadyRails B2 slides from eBay. For Dell servers the installation is easy (drop-in). However I plan to use it on third party chassis, and I did not find a way to remove the inner rail. The two latches in the pictures are the only mechanism I found, which allowed the slide to retract after fully extended. Is it even possible to remove the inner rail?
If not, what kind of screws should I buy (to attach to the chassis) so that the screw heads can drop into the slots on the inner rail? It seems there is only 1mm of clearance for the screw head (depth).
Slide info:
King Slide: MID 73641
P/N: X476K
DP/N: 0W647K

Update: I received the reply from the manufacturer. It is not possible to remove the third section. You have to be creative to find a way to mount the 3rd party chassis on it. (I mounted 2 L-shape steel beam on the slide, then plywood panel in between to place the server. Ugly but usable.)
