I have 3 nodes on a DDR infiniband network, I'm using CX-3 / CX-2 cards on a Qlogic 24 port DDR switch. I'm adding 2 more nodes, and can't decide if I should just add more cables to what I have now, or take the plunge and get a QDR infiniband switch and all new QSFP cables, or add some more CX4/QSFP cables and upgrade the switch to a managed switch. I'm having some problems with the fabric, I get alot of SEND_WAIT and SWITCH_RELAY_ERRORs in the IB diagnet command, so i'd like to get a managed switch to possibly help fix those or at least minimize them. OR, I just just say #$%#$% it with the infiniband, get a 10Gb switch, and be able to use the existing cards for hyper-v and SAN traffic, which I can't do with infiniband since it doesn't support VLANS. Anyt reccomendations?
