Thanks to these forums, I've found and invested into a few Intel S3700, S3710, and Samsung SM883 enterprise SSDs (mainly for Ceph and a few boot/data drives).

I'm wondering though, what's the SAS equivalent of these drives in the used market on eBay?

My personal SC846 has a SAS2 backplane, and the school has supermicro TQ backplanes, which as SAS. Just needs an HBA as the onboard SATA aren't SAS.

MZ-6WR8000 SM1623 Samsung SAS2 SSD can be had for under $100 currently. 500 Mb/s write and allows for dual-port configurations. Also has stellar endurance. Most of these are going to come with a 520 sector size so you'll need to reformat to 512.
