Icy Dock 3.5" Converter Competitor?

Hi STH community,

I was searching for the Icy Dock 3.5" drive bay converter and spotted these for the Gen8 microserver on ebay New HP 2 5" to 3 5" SATA SSD HDD Adapter 4 Microserver Gen8 N54L N40L N36 | eBay

Has anyone tried these with the Dell C6100 or HP DL180 G6 3.5" bays?

I thought this may be the best place to ask. At under $10 it makes these $5 cheaper than the Icy Dock plastic ones and when you are buying for ~50 drives that is a good chunk o' change.

I see those for 6.99 from "hotnow" seller. They all look the same and should all work. But I have not tried them.

I am probably using ~100 of these now and they have worked surprisingly well. The only thing I wish they did differently was had a tool-less 2.5" drive installation like the Icy Docks.

Those are nice but only a few $ below the WD Icepack typical prices, I wonder if any of the higher end SATA6/SAS12 drives would show a difference from the added cooling, I know at least the 2TB 850 pro's run Hot to the touch(actually so did all of the 840 models...)

WD IcePack 2.5" to 3.5" Hard Drive Heatsink Mounting Frame

I don't know about their sale price but that looks like about a dollar normally, and I'm curious about the temperature differences with the heatsink.
