So i put 2 SSDs in RAID0 striped by windows and i get above 2GB on write and above 2GB on read.

I got a third SSD (Vertex 4) and created a RAID5 on the M5016 and I get the same read write speeds as in RAID 0. This is because of the cache speeds. So it doesnt matter what RAID you put on the M5016 you will get crazy speeds due to its high cache. It is almost 50% faster cache when compared to the LSI9260. A amazing card. I am loving this card and cant see a reason to upgrade. Only thing I wish it could do is TRIM. LSI needs to get TRIM on these cards for SSDs to prolong the life.

I am done testing for now. This will be my perm. setup for a while.

Cheers for the tests

What do you upgrade to from a M5016 ?
Only thing is a LSI SAS927x with PCIe 3.0
You will get marginal speed difference.

Yes the SAS2208 is quite a jump of the SAS2108, dual core faster memory makes a big difference.
