Hello,
I need to buy a UPS for my homelab. As of today I have:
- 25 W switch;
- 250 W FreeNAS Mini E for NAS purposes (of course);
- 150 W Supermicro server with virtualization.
I will need to expand in the future so maybe I want to go a little bit over the 450 W I could point at if I sum all the power consumption from the various parts.
I have a small rack which is usually used for network appliances so many rack mounted UPSs would not work because they're too deep. I pointed at the tower systems since they were not that big, anyway.
I found a couple of models from Riello and Eaton which I would like you to tell me something about.
First, I know Riello is a good brand but what about Eaton?
Second, these are the models I think could be good deals from my resellers, both are online UPSs: what do you think?
- Eaton UPS 9E1000I - 1000 VA, 800 W - 369€
- Riello Sentinel Pro 700 - 700 VA 560 W - 451€
P.S. I live in Europe so all the models have to be compatible with 240 V - 50 Hz specs.
