Impossible for the task in hand as I'm trying to adapt a double-wide sas link into multiple solutions. The problem with double-wide sas connectors is that you only ever get the split into two sff-8087 outputs and the length of these non-standard cables is fixed by the oems, ie no aftermarket double-wide sas cables exist. Having an inline joiner permits me to tinker better. Without the joiner I am at the mercy of oem cables which are unfortunately limited to oem-server relevant design parameters.
I could do my own leads no problem, but soldering super-fine 36 wires with a microscope is a seriously boring and tedious task, me no like boring but I guess I could allocate one brandy evening to it.
