Had to remove a switch on the front control panel and it was more stubborn than I thought. I am more worried about getting it back on. As a surface mount component, you have to presolder the pads, heat up and flow them without destroying all the components around it. No experience with that. I'm about to get some though.I have no idea what I'm doing with the hot air soldering station and still managed to remove a few intact, it must not be too hard.
use flux, ther is solderflux paste for those SMD.you have to presolder the pads, heat up and flow them without destroying all the components around it. No experience with that.

doubt that. The power supply is in overload. Once I get everything cleaned and dried, how do I kick it out of overload?
It only went into "orange light at plug" mode after all the ram connections were wetkeep in mind the mobo may come out of a redundancy configured server w. dual PSU.
check settings in iDrac.
