I just fell in love with Ubuntu on Windows

I needed to recursively copy a bunch of folders off of a server.

Fired up the command prompt -> bash -> scp -r username@host:/path/to/dir .

Boom it started copying. No need to use a Windows program or change syntax.

Yeah it is a beautiful thing. I was using it to rsync a large dataset while on hotel wifi that kept dropping out. It was the only way I was going to be able to get the data down.

Yeah, that's in what way great/simple features makes things easier.
