Speaking of that M6600:

Yes, I just paid $200 for a "good working condition" M6600. If i sell off the 2920XM and the 32GB RAM i'd make a profit in the end too AND have a top-end M6600!

You are insane man. I have 3 M4800 (Two have the M2200M GPU, the other has K2100). One M7520 also with a K2100 (donated its M2200M to the M4800). What's the best GPU I can put on the 7520? Notebookreview site is now gone. It was a gold mine for Dell precision hacks.

7520 is MXM-A so the Radeon Pro WX4170 would be one of the best.

Nice, GB3800's M6500 has been delivered. Now the M6600 and M2400.

In other news, I almost ruined not one but two Precision M50 batteries. I ripped out the CMOS/standby batteries in both my M40 and M50 since they're of the Varta board-eating variety and somehow, after not using them for about two months I managed to severely drain the rightside battery on both my M40 and M50, and that caused them to not want to charge anymore.

Thankfully, after inserting them in the left C-Bay slot of both Precisions they started charging again.

Coming soon:

Part 1 of my parts. Had to pay €34 to those greedy assholes in The Hague though :(

In other news:

UPS is lightning quick compared to USPS. I'll gladly take a hit from Customs if it means I don't have to wait three weeks (or almost THREE MONTHS) on my stuff.

Acquired two more Precisions today: a M4700 in great condition, which will become a machine of my collection, and a rather damaged M6700 I will be parting out.

And finally got around to test the K2000M I bought last month. Seems to work fine, haven't ran a benchmark yet though because the heatsink (a alu slab from a dead AOpen mobo lmao) i'm using is far too undersized to safely run Superposition.

Fun fact: that M4700 is identical to the one I have now.

Oh, and I had to pay UPS €34 for customs. Am still in the green if I sell the parts of the M6500 Covet and M6600 though :^)

lol that M6700 was completely ruined from the inside, someone spilled something on it a while ago. Tossed the chassis and palmrest since they were unsalvagable.

M4700 also had 2x8GB RAM in it, yay lol

lolwtf, UPS said they were coming Monday at the earliest, and guess who showed up today: a UPS delivery guy with a parcel from the USA.

gameboy3800's M6500 Covet: chassis and lid look like they went through a cycle in my Miele WT745 washer-dryer, but at least the unicorn/Quadro 5000M in it works and overclocks like absolute trash :(
M6600: works, meh condition as expected, but 32GB RAM and a 2920XM I can sell for what I paid for the laptop, why not :^)

I cleaned up the E2E glass of the M6500 Covet, it's in better condition than I thought. Shame that the lid itself is beat to hell.

Oh wow, there's a M6700 Covet for sale on eBay UK. Stupid ****ing Brexit and it's customs fees ruin it for me though :(

EDIT: Sold, as expected.

GOD ****ING DAMN IT PARTS-PEOPLE. "Yes, the WXGA+ LED and WUXGA CCFL rails fit on the WUXGA RGBLED display"

Fat chance they don't. First I misplace the rails I ordered, then decided (after nearly bashing the heads of my parents in due me being extremely pissed off about said missing rails) to disassemble my old WXGA+ lid since it's got the same rails. Rails fit, but guess what: THE DUAL CCFL/RGBLED LID IS BIGGER, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

At least there's some good news: the RGBLED bezel I bought for my M6700 Covet fits just fine. Looks even better than that stupid E2E glass I might add!

And not only that, I managed to damage the trim piece on the palmrest below the lid, AAAAAAAAA

Nothing some superglue can fix though. And some more good news: the display itself works fine. Thank god, the one I bought in Greece last year arrived in a thousand pieces thanks to the seller not packing it properly.

And PayPal decided to be an ass and not accept my payment. Had to ask the guy for a refund and resend the payment as F&F instead.

PayPal, not even once. @NablaSquaredG you should be receiving said M65 next week or so.
