Need to get Windows XP VM loaded on a fresh Windows 10 box. I have 2 old games I want to get up and running. Both are full screen low demand graphics. I had them running previously on a Windows 7 box with Windows XP mode installed and all was well. I read that Windows XP mode won't run under Windows 10 so I need another solution and a regular VM seems like it's it. I've used VirtualBox in Linux before and it really sucked. Never could get the screen resolution right so had to give up on it. I've never run a full screen app in HyperV so I don't know how well iy works or if it works at all. If windows 10 doesn't work then I'll figure how how to shoehorn Windows 7 on the box. It's a Lenovo M715q with a Hynix 1TB NVMe boot drive so I'll need to slip stream the USB3 and the NVMe drivers into the install media. I'd rather go with Windows 10 because I can use it for other purposes also.
Any guidance much appreciated.
