Hyper-V does not start after losing additional VHD

Hello everybody,

I seem to be having trouble starting a virtual computer in Hyper-V after losing/renaming an additional drive added to the virtual System.
How can I set it up in order to still boot even when the additional VHD is removed or renamed?

Any help is greately appreciated.

Could we get some more information - error messages? Does the VM start and fail to boot, or not even turn on? How did you remove the VHD?

Is this the case where you have 1 boot drive and 3 extra drives. One of the extra drives fails and so the VM will not start? In that case you can remove the drive from the Hyper-V VM and it will boot normally.
