Huawei is refusing to share late versions of BIOS updates if you are not a Huawei tech engineer.

Ref: this post at their forums: Release notes for BIOS 5.23-where can I download the BIOS? - Huawei Enterprise Support Community

I am asking here because that BIOS contains microcode updates that remediates some exploits we - and probably everyone else - want to get rid of.

Should be posted here but all I have access to is 5.15

Huh, didn't see any 5.23 BIOS firmware for RH2288H V3, maybe they revoke that release. Usually, it can be uploaded with new release, but am aware that RH2288H V3 nearly EOL.

I can try to request a permission for download 5.22 or ask someone to download, but that version of BIOSis specially maded for one company.

I got the release notification via e-mail a few weeks back.

hw-mail.gif

and the links took me to RH2288H V3 BIOS V523 Release Notes 01- Huawei (behind login) where it states:

5.21
5.22 added these

MI interrupt timeout optimization
Upgrade BroadWell CPU Microcode to MEF406F1-0B00003A.

It might be that 5.23 is not very relevant after all, but I still cant get at 5.22 or 5.21

Much appreciated if some can be done about that.

Many OS will update the microcode at boot time, it may not be preferable to full BIOS updates, but it is probably better than nothing.
Here's a link to Debian's wiki where they describe some of this:

Sorry, no it seems my access is limited to the server I actually have and submitted a serial number for.

But did you try register your server, with SN, and then make a support request to get access? That is what I did and it worked...

It's weird. iBMC seems to be "one fits all", but I have received no update notification for my server RH2288H v3. So what do you think, can I use that?
