Hey,
i see the BIOS and IBMC posted here for the RH2288H but i got the non H version RH2288, does anyone have the latest BIOS and IBMC for it or can tell me if my IBMC 2.94 (U25) and BIOS 3.63 (U47) is the most recent? Sadly whatever site i visit from Huawei there is only the message "product is EON no resources to download".
Thanks in advance!
You have to get your drivers from xfusion
https://www.xfusion.com/support/#/en/home#iDriver
This company took over the whole Business from Huawei since few years.

Thank you @MikeTomlin for the info, i also saw that and registered my server but are waiting for approval. Weird is that the RH2288H v3 does not have password protection for its BIOS, IBMC and drivers and only requires an account do download, but the one without H is behind a paywall. Going by their popup it is not enough to have the product registered and approved in order to download the files. You have to have a contract number, meaning an active support contract. Also going by the experience of people previously writing here i dont have much hope that my product will be approved. So if anyone still happens to have the files i would greatly appreciate it!

On my journey i discovered one more odd thing:
I bought 2 U.3 drives (only because their were really cheap), i tried to install them in multiple PCIe slots with adapters but could not get them to show up, but they are working in my X670E board. Does anyone have experience with U.3 and the RH2288v3? I do not have the front with nvme, i can only use adapters right now. I tried an M.2 adapter and that one worked, could be because the U.3s are PCIe 4.0? I only had a M.2 2.0 at hand.

Hello, I was given with a Huawei 2288H V5 which seems a nice unit for a home project. However the BIOS and BMC are really old. I read that I need to upgrade the iBMC to v5.02 or v5.20) first, then to v6.39 and then to the latest ones available (e.g. v6.95 or v7.00).

I would really appreciate if anyone have those files for the iBMC to kindly upload for me, so as I can proceed with the upgrade steps safely?
Same applies for the BIOS (currently both BIOS and iBMC versions are dated to 2018).

Thank you all in advance.

Edit/Update: The server I got is a V5 as mentioned above, not a V3.

@MikeTomlin I would really appreciate if you could access and upload the older files please, so as I can upgrade the outdated iBMC, BIOS, CPLD of the server. Many thanks in advance. :)

Hi there!
I am at the point where I tried pretty much everything to make an Nvidia Tesla T4 work in the RH2288H v3 and not be throttled to a maximum of 45Watts out of the required 70W
I am using a BC11PERH riser card; this particular card as a Pcie x16 and a Pcie x8 plus two Pcie power J5 and J6 sockets - in this very riser card I had a Tesla m40 that was inserted into the x16 slot and using a cable it was pulling close to 250Watts from the riser alone!

I don't have the absolute latest BIOS (that would be x.23 - I have the x.15) but I am reluctant to upgrade unless I am abolsutely sure that would fix it

I installed the T4 into the 16x slot and no matter what I tried (I even tried to add consumption to 2 pcie power slots to trick the riser into giving more power to the slot) the T4 is throttled - please see bellow how the HW Power Brake Slowdown : Active flag is set

nvidia-smi -q -d PERFORMANCE

I would really appreciate any advise how to go about it. I fellow member suggested to "tape a PCI pin" - I didn't find any good article in how that can be achieved!
I do have the 1100Watts power supply - so there is plenty of budget!
Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays to everyone!

sp_00n advised to tape out pin B30 - the powerbreak pin and it worked. my card is no longer throttling; the GPU frequency jumped from 150Mhz to GPU 1005MHz
Many many thanks! 1767422031818.png

Hello,
I bought RH2288 v3 (without "H") on the secondary market.
Actually, it was sold to me as an RH2288H v3, but it's too late to file a claim against the seller now. So we're making do with what we have.
It has no network card, and SR130 controller.
I want to use it for TrueNas Scale 25.10

Current iBMC Firmware Version: 2.62 (U25)
Current BIOS Firmware Version: 3.80 (U47)

They both very old, as i read.
Huawei and Xfusion refused to register this server, and now i am looking for "new" firmwares without their help.

May be somebody have the actual firmwares ?
