This may be a strange question but I want to ask before building something that gives me headaches and nightmares.
I'm looking at HP J8S18B/J8S18A drives and generic LSI SAS9300
Ideally I'd like to run a linux zfs pool but I have read scaling out is a problem with zfs.
So the thought is to get these drives uses and fully populate the case with 8 drives.
(I have a 16gb or 32gb of ecc ram in a supermicro motherboard but i don't remember specs)
Anything else I should consider?
