We see this as an almost mandatory feature. HPE’s white box competition gives iKVM functionality for free in their base offerings.
I don't disagree that this should be a standard feature, but I do disagree on two minor points:
  • I'd say that vendors that include it, don't give it for "free", but "at no additional charge". Semantics, but I feel it would be more accurate
  • Cisco which provides full out-of-band management including iKVM for "free" isn't someone whom I'd call "white box" competition.
