I really thought my black belt grade was high in google. But I cant find any fault tracing help at all related to this product.
When plugging in the external power brick the led next to the connector doesnt even light up so its pretty useless.
Bought second hand and the seller seems like they dont want to take it back.

I dont have the original 230W power brick. But i think ( Hope ) that it should power up with less watts. I have several others available. 65W and 120W. etc.

Any ideas?

Inconclusive. Measured across input 19.5V seems to be a healthy 20kohm.
Checked most visible big caps. No shorts. Perhaps some sort of firmware recovery is needed.
It looks really complex on the inside.

Meh! I'll answer myself. Sadly again it's a pebkac issue. I needed to use a newer power supply for the unit. It didnt boot with the 120W supply i had. I needed a newer 120W supply. Makes me wonder if there is some sort of communication built in the power supply. Even if its only two prongs.
Or perhaps the voltage differs slightly.
