Actually the SN2100 is quite efficient, some 70W average
That is with 14 ports connected, probably 50:50 with 56G/100G nics connected.
Edit: Just saw an earlier similar pic from me without ports - 33W - so half base switch and half the direct attach copper's
Just connected two buildings the other day with fibre and wil o/c its perfectly sufficient to run a 6012 in the second building, it would be nice to have a 100G interconnect..
O/c i dont *really* need either since most of the time the old 10G copper cable was sufficient, but ...
Hm, on a more serious note, it would allow me to circumvent the 13 VLAN pvrstp limitation on the old gen MLX switches...
