These seem to be new, from what I've seen by the serial# they are still under HP warranty.
16 Port half width switch, 8 licensed
Seller took 700+shipping, tried everything from 450 up :p, but maybe lower for more then one - seems to have 6 total left from what he said.

Have not received mine yet, will take a few days but will o/c provide feedback

Interesting find! Do you have any data regarding power consumption? "Typical Low Power 95W" is a bit higher than I'd like and other Mellanox gear is quite efficient under partial loads. How about Module compatibility / vendor lock?

I've been told by @boliniak1 that power consumption is not as good as I'd hope, but I will see how it compares to the other swithces (6036/2700) when its here
No idea re compatibility

I haven't seen many anecdotes about 100G switch power consumption from the homelab scene but I can't imagine they're on par with lower tier ethernet, the ASICs have to be fairly hungry on their own and each XCVR pushing 4 lasers add up fast. Comparing to CFP class 100G power consumption should be favourable but I don't know that many of you see those as often as those of us in fibre transport.

Power consumption strictly depends on the number hots/cables and of course, passive or active cable, half populated SN2100 takes around 90-150W (depends also on port activities). This is not power-hungry switches.

Do you derive those numbers from own measurements or are they based on the spec sheet?

May i ask what kind of connections you use? I.e. QSFP28/DAC and port speeds. Just wondering how much it might draw with only two 100G DAC links plus a few 10/40G ports.

It was a mixed connection few Active and few Passive, I checked on two active connections 100GB and it is around 92W.
Thank you! That's a bit high for my taste (second highest electricity prices in the EU ). My SX6012 is insanely low power when running just a few 10G and 40G links at around 50W. I'd have hoped for some efficiency gains on this newer generation of devices.

Dont get your hopes up, sx6012 is really insanely low for its performance, 6036 is okish (~60W for me atm, fans are up a lot these days).
I hope to stay below then SN2700 with this one (maybe up to 75/80) but its not gonna be close to the 6012.

Sure, but it's not like it would be under full load 24/7 in a homelab environment. At least not in mine;) Thus I hope for acceptable numbers in idle:)

Initial boot, some ideling and first fw update, lowest idle at slightly above 40W - surprisingly good.

Note its currently hard locked to 8 interfaces, not sure if a 16 interface enabled one will draw more power or if these get turned off due to green ethernet (which might or not be available on this switch/os, have not checked).

None yet, just fired it up and now its sitting behind me waiting for attention;)
Values above were with management port attached only.

Did you hook up one or both PSUs? Let's see how much it consumes once there is traffic on a few ports. To match kedzior's numbers it would have to double power compared to idle.

One psu only.
At this time I have no urgent need to use it to be honest (moved everything to 56G for power saving a few weeks back), so probably will reserve it for attempts to extend to 16 ports first, sorry.

I think/hope @kedzior's numbers came from his active qsfp28 modules -

This example takes 2.5-3.5W per module, so 5-7W per cable.
