been digging around for about a month for this heatsink on the web, seems like everywhere is either out of stock or really overpriced

is there anyplace that this can be found?

You might consider looking at ebay for cpu upgrade kits which include the heatsink cpu and any fans required for dual proc mode. Might end up cheaper after selling the chip. Might not YMMV. Seeing what price kits from HP direct might equal to lesser than ebay as well.

yea, was looking for them on ebay too, and taobao, seems like taobao has them for the lowest price at the moment but they tend not to have stock (even when it says 4 pieces left)

Probably more expensive even after selling the chip after factoring in having to sell the chip and additional shipping and transactions

Just unfortunate that HP had to have the bump on the socket pressure lid
