Anyone solved the fan speed issue with 705 G4?

https://www.reddit.com/r/homelab/comments/su3qpx
After replacing A-10 CPU in my HP Elitedesk 705 G4 Mini with a Ryzen 5 Pro 2400GE there fan runs full speed.
It works correctly only in BIOS menu, after exiting it ramps up to full speed (no CPU load, low temperatures).
Speed cannot be controlled using Linux fancontrol.

Reddit thread suggests bad fan connection, but replacing fan with one did not help.
Everything points to a firmware issue, and there does not seem to be Coreboot/Libreboot firmware for this machine.

The issue was not present originally with the A-10 CPU. Not sure if present on all 705 G4 machines with Ryzen CPU, or only on those with replaced CPU.

This was the answer from the same reddit thread:

"In case anyone comes across this issue. I tried CMOS resets, BIOS updates. Eventually I was able to solve it by unplugging the power, resetting the CMOS, and then removing the battery for a minute or so to make sure everything cleared. Any system changes such as adding RAM, or BIOS updates would cause the issue to return but removing the battery seems to be the key. I'm not sure why"
