I just purchased an HP elite desk 800 G2 SFF system and would like to mount it to a metal shelf but I can't find any documentation as to what screws are used on the bottom of the chassis. Can somebody enlighten me?DC59209D-72AB-4768-8C7F-96E49D1EC80E.jpeg

From the picture it looks like an EliteDesk mini rather than a SFF (but correct me if I'm wrong). If so, that's a standard 100mm VESA mount which uses M4 screws.

I mounted one of these under my desk a few years ago, and used a VESA quick-release adapter (one half screwed to the desk, the other half screwed into the EliteDesk mini. Makes tinkering much easier.

Sure. But whether you use a VESA mount or not, the EliteDesk Mini's screw holes follow the FDMI MIS-D standard, so the holes are 100mm apart and take M4 screws (10mm, if the metal you're screwing into is as thick as a VESA plate).
