Hi - I just bought a fully loaded used HP DL380 G7 from working environment.
Now, this system looks brand new, but the problem I notice is when I boot till I launch my OS (Windows Server 2012) the fan noise is the same.
I have a DL380 G6 and it is quieter than this machine. I mean the DL380 G6 would boot up loud and the fans would quiet down.
This is not the case here in the G7, the fans are loud and appear to be at a constant speed from that point on.
I am not sure how to diagnose this problem, are there any diagnostic or remote management software that is free that can be used to identify. I ensured the server cover is seated, I checked the fans, they seem to be seated. Nothing else seems to be out of the ordinary.
I would appreciate the help.
Thanks!
