HP branded Optane 905p: Any gotchas?

Just found a 480gb HP branded Optane 905p on Ebay for $54 shipped, and I grabbed it without thinking. Now I'm wondering if there's any gotchas or vendor lock-in with HP branded ones? I already assume any firmware updates will be a pain (no HP servers on hand). Sometimes I just can't stop the impulse buy :rolleyes:

I'm assuming its legit. I've bought from the seller before and they tend to price all over the place (both low and high). Plus they tend to list HP items by part number without photos, which effectively "hides them" from anyone not looking for something specific or willing to take the time to do some deciphering.

Yes, FW updates might be HP only, which sometimes is behind a paywall. Positive thing is, HP used to do warranty on individual items and not servers, so you might be lucky to have warranty and actual official fw access
Not sure if thats still the case though
