hello. purchased an hp 523sfp+ dual 10gbe card. any suggestions on what firmware to use for 2.5gbe mode on opnsense? also, can it be updated in windows 11?
looking here: HPE Support Center

Thats an very old Qlogic card. There are no recent updates or drivers. If win11 can support it will be using server 2016/2019 driver if exists.
2500Base-x is newer than SFP+ 10GBase-SR/CR.
If the card is based on Qlogic/BCM 57810 or 57840 it can be hacked to works at 2500Base-x or sgmii modes supporting 2,5Gb/s SFP modules.
I use an QLE-3442 card that is based on BCM57840 chipset.
