buy a new sn2010 last month , very happy with it, but the fans of it are still little noisy (on idle 20% when use dac, about 6000-7000RPM ,but sometime ramp up to 12000-13000rpm ). so want to reduce fan speed a little more ( i saw somewhere ,the min rpm should be 4000-4900 ), my target is min rpm 5000 and max rpm 9000,
could anyone give me some clue or advice ?

Like the sx60xx series, it can be adjusted manually using mdreq
But if you don’t hack the hwd, the minimum speed is still 27%, which is the range of 6000 to 7000

maybe minimum speed is not 27% , in sonic source code the 2010 and 2100 fan minimum rpm is 4500, maybe onyx same as sonic? both of them use similar shell script to control fan

Hi @Freebsd1976 did you ever get the noise of the switch down ? I got a pair of these SN2010's and would love to use them for my lab, but they are just so loud.
