How to check ConnectX card is authentic?

[xyzzy]

I've recently purchased some Mellanox / nVidia ConnectX-5 cards from reputable sellers on eBay. So far, they seem to be totally legit and working normally. But just in case, is there a way to check if a card is authentic vs fake?

I bought two connectx-6 and I wonder if they are genuine too. First time dealing with Mellanox.

Is there any known cases of fake Mellanox cards on the market?

For what used ones are selling for, I don't see much profit in making a knock off.

Thank you for sharing this. Both of my cards were found so I guess they're legit. Thank you!
