Hi All,
I have a supermicro SC417 series chassis with 72 disks and used as a jbod. This chassis has 3 backplanes SAS2-216EL1/ SAS2-216EL2.
On my opensolaris machines, these 3 backplanes are reported as 3 enclosures with 3 distinct logical ID. SES doesn't report any identifier that these 3 backplanes are part of 1 single jbod. To overcome this, i am planning to put some custom signatures on every backplane.
How can i do that? Are there tools and firmwares that can easily achieve this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
