Hello, could someone please help me with the SKS3200M-8GPY1XF? I have two switches that are stuck. Thank you.
If stuck means that the sys led is blinking and it's not working, then see this post: https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...witch-8-x-2-5gbe-1-10gb-sfp.41571/post-498255

I have been using that firmware on my SWTGW218AS switches too (XikeStor SKS3200M-8GPY1XF, Ampcom ZX-SWTGW218AS, Horaco HC-SWTGW218AS). It brought my SKS3200M-8GPY1XF back to life. The RTLplaygound firmware is still incomplete, but the developers are very active and it's rapidly becoming better.

Hi guys.

I just ordered the managed "KeepLiNK KP-9000-9XHML-X" switch, and I was trying to find information what firmware I'll have to flash.

From what I understood, it should be "RTLPlayground", and I will need to compile it myself?
This "RTLPlayground" firmware will help reduce a potential issue with flash memory dying due to the default firmware bug which writes something to it?

Will I be able to flash "RTLPlayground" using the normal WebUI if I don't have a programmer?

If not "RTLPlayground", what is the newest known, available firmware that can be used on this switch?

Hi everyone,

I bought KeepLiNK KP-9000-9XHML-X a few days ago and I have a problem with tem.

I set up the device, saved and made backup config and disconnected the power supply. I moved it to where it was supposed to be and could no longer connect to the device.

Sometimes I manage to reset and I can log in to the gui and then I have to perform the entire procedure again, but I don't know why when I disconnect it from the power supply, communication with it is lost. Did any of you have such a case?

Latest firmware :

Just receive it from KeepLink representative. Short advice: do the upgrade from a PC/Laptop because i have try from mobile and didnt work.He failed. In case do fails change you ip address to 192.168.1.X connect to lan to switch and access : http://192.168.1.1 not http://192.168.1.168 as is written of the switch. You will get directly in the web page of the upgrade process.
Hi,
do you know how is correct factory reset procedure for switch with new firmware ?

I just received my KeepLiNK KP-9000-9XHML-X with:

Firmware VersionV100.9.25
Firmware DateJan 20 2026
Hardware VersionV3.1

After the switch reboot (even using the UI), I'm also losing the changed IP, and the login/password resets to default "admin admin"...

EDIT:
Ah, nevermind. I just found that there is a "Save" option under the "Tools" submenu. This made my configuration persist reboot, but I didn't test the electricity loss yet.

I updated to version 100.9.25 and lost connection to the graphical interface. Factory reset doesn't work either. The reset did not trigger a response on the device. keepplink is running as unmanaged.

It works unpredictably, losing the connection is something normal, but we don't know exactly how the rescue will behave. In my opinion, it's still a long way from stable work. Fortunately, I'm return it to seller

Do you know the correct procedure for restoring factory settings?

I don't know since I had to leave home and had no time to play with it.

My device came with this newest firmware, but where did you find the firmware update? I thought they don't provide it? Or do they have some website now?

I wonder, have you tried to find some local network scanner program to find the available http panels on your local network? Perhaps it set some unexpected address for the administrator panel.

FYI. There are new (V200) firmwares available here:
Should work also for Horaco, Lianguo, GoodTop, HongRui and other brands of RTL837x based switches with (V200.x.x FW) produced by OEM Hongyavision.
Works with Horaco HC-SWTGW215AS, but DOM values are not valid for DAC cables.

Is there any updated stock firmware that supports setting the management VLAN, or is the playground still the only way?

why is this always only the only issue ... think really hard about this attack surface, and then come back and post again

These switches are fine with the firmware that provides the expected behavior and performance ... no need to keep seeking more

i have 7 switches ... all realtek, all running 2024 firmware ie basically what came with switch..

never had to reflash or had the need for a serial re-programmer because i flashed the wrong one

It's more about functionality for me. I do not use VLAN 1 at all in my network, so being able to change it means not having to re-home it to make configuration changes. There's more than one use case for wanting to to change it...

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried that firmware and the switch is working again, so that definitely helped bring it back to life.

However, it’s still not working as it should. VLANs are not functioning properly and there are several other features that don’t seem to work yet.

Hopefully the developers working on this firmware will be able to fix the current issues and improve stability in future updates.

Thanks again for pointing me in the right

Thanks they have firmware for my GoodTop ZX310S-4T2XH that adds support for fiber module status that i have been after
oddly it shows loss of signal = yes but the link is up and reports operational on the other switch

Untitled.png

Grok says

  • Loss of Signal (LOS):
    • RTL9303: Normal (good — it sees incoming light).
    • RTL8372N: Yes (this is the key red flag, but misleading).
  • LOS = Yes on RTL8372N despite Rx power = -3.19 dBm (which is strong/healthy).
    • This strongly suggests the RTL8372N switch/firmware has a LOS threshold misconfiguration or bug — it is probably expecting a higher Rx power to de-assert LOS (e.g., threshold set too high like -2 dBm or similar), or there's a firmware quirk in how it interprets DOM values.
    • But the actual Rx power is fine — the link is passing light and is carrying traffic
Conclusion
  • Not an actual transceiver/fiber/link failure: Powers match bidirectionally, levels are healthy for 10GBASE-LR.
  • issue on RTL8372N: Incorrect LOS assertion despite good Rx power → likely firmware bug, threshold error, or compatibility quirk with this OEM transceiver. Check for firmware updates on the RTL8372N side, or ignore LOS if the port is passing traffic (test with iperf/traffic counters).

I just cleaned the modules and cables
and is as good as it gets with no signal quality loss
and it still reports loss of signal = yes
even though it works fine
so must be a firmware bug

Output Power RTL8372N
-1.19 dBm → ≈ 0.76 mW
Input Power
-2.60 dBm → ≈ 0.55 mW

Other end RTL9303
Output Power 0.56 mW
Input Power 0.75 mW

Hi there,

I have a KP-9000-9XHML-X. I was unhappy with the VLAN performance on the stock firmware and came here looking for an upgrade of the firmware. Well, long story short, I now have a nice bootlooping paperweight. I opened the thing, soldered TTL and was able to access the flashing interface over web again - but I can't seem to find a working firmware. I tried some files posted here that sounded like they might work, and they either flashed successfully but still kept bootlooping, or spammed messages like this in the TTL:

rt_header->magic_number ffffffff
rt_header->magic_number ffffffff
rt_header->magic_number ffffffff
rt_header->magic_number ffffffff
rt_header->magic_number 0
rt_header->magic_number 1f80001
rt_header->magic_number ffffffff
rt_header->magic_number ffffffff
rt_header->magic_number ffffffff
rt_header->magic_number 6e646172

Is there a stock firmware somewhere I could flash via the web interface to recover the device? I haven't been able to find one & the keeplink website appears empty: 软件下载-深圳友联科技有限公司

You saved me! I thought there was an issue with the switch! Works with power loss too! I have V100.9.9.1.7 any reason to upgrade?
