hi to everyone.
i want to ask you and thank you for any help you offer me. i have 2 KP-9000-9XHPML-X-AC. i bought them from alliexpress 2-3 months the second from the first. the first one its ok . pcb 2m-pcb51-ml-v1.1 and firmware V100.9.4 . when i received the second one didnt worked. the S led fast blinking. the first one fast blink when boot and then slow blink in normal mode. another differense i saw is that the secont has not a reset switch. i opened both to find out differences, same board but different bios chip the first and working switch has 25Q16JVSIQ chip (2MBYTE)and the second non working 25Q32JVSIQ byte (4MBYTE). i tried to read the bios but it was very strange. then i unsoldered the chip from the working one and soldered it to the other and worked. i thought that if i order same chip and copy the bios from the working one with the programmer could work but i tried and didnt. it starts but seems that its in boot loop. so is there something i miss? im not an expert just a home user who tries to do things and keep learning. its sure that i do something wrong. i hope you could help me somehow.

Hi you need to read BIOSes with programmer and software and then do backup ... once u have backup put new chip read it blank it and then do write..
But u said u have one Q16 and order Q32... U can't mix and flash 2MB bin file onto 4MB chip The BIOS dump bin file is smaller or bigger and software program will pop up warning that bin file is either small or too large..
I know u accidentally tried to upgrade firmware and u used wrong .. so u need to find corresponding 4MB file bin file BIOS...

Edit: but have 10% chance u will find it... so your only option is to get blank q16 2MB chip .. then remove BIOS chip from your working switch read it BIOS save bios bin file, then simply put new blank q16 2MB chip program and just flash saved bin file (2MB) and solder it to the failed firmware upgrade switch.. and us should be good...

i didnt try to flash it by mistake, as i said when i receive it and it was not working, then opened both devices. i saw the difference between chips so i desoldered the chip from the good one and tried it to the non working. it worked. i ordered same chip 2mbyte like the old one. i read the bios with the 341a programmer and asprogrammer and tried also neoprogrammer but when i programm the blank same as old chip even if the programm was sucsessful the switch tries to boot but makes a bootloop. and for this reason i asked here because i dont know if it is something else that i missed. i also tried a dump file who someone posted here for same switch. i dont know if i have to make changes because of programming the dump file to other chip. i also tried mac change. i also tried with other programmer epz2019+

mostly fast flashing led is due to u-boot fail wrong firmware updated by user who comes here to forums and downloads and then flashing all kind of sht then blaming seller or other but not themselves..
When u swapped good one to the bad one did u then put all back to original ? or u kept swapped chips?
u have boot loop because switch u-boot expecting different firmware.. u need to press quickly ESC or there is different letter to flash original same version as is in your working switch
why did u opened them when there is warranty sticker over the screw ? why u didn't send it back for free shipping and refund then ?
I sent all this basic switches back and I got refund..

just recently bought copies of this no-name switch, specifically a KeepLINK KP-9000-9XHML-X (8 2.5G+1SFP+) hardware version 3.0 and firmware version V100.9.4 (Aug 07 2024) and a Mokerlink RTL8372 (5 2.5G+1SFP+) hardware version 1.0 and firmware version V1.9.1 (Mar 18 2024).

Do you know any SFP+ to RJ45 adapter which is known to be working?
Tried a random QINIYEK BJ-SFP-10G-T CO but the switches keep saying "Link down" and obviously, aren't working on that port..

The difference can be massive between 30 meter and 80/100 meter rated 10GBASE-T transceivers. The thread below has posts showing a roughly 30 degree difference for instance.

I would check Hasivo's website. It might depend on the particular switch chip used. Not all models are necessarily listed on AliExpress.

When searching, it might be worth knowing that I've sometimes seen them use F instead of S as the first letter on some models.

Generally with Hasivo, for models based on the RTL93xx switch chips, they tend to have an L3 managed model with a console port as well as a "Smart Web Managed" or "L2 Web Managed" without the console port populated with the SE suffix.

yeah i have 2x 30m that i use to uplink 2 switches together but one is enclosed and it's pretty toasty (the other is my minirack in a totally different enviroment - and actively cooled).. i need to find a 10gb stick that runs cooler to replace the first one

The 80 or 100 meter rated ones should be a good option then, unless you want to wait for the recently announced RTL8261C based transceivers that Realtek claims to have a power consumption of just 1.65 W. The Broadcom chip is roughly 1.8 W or something like that, I think. :)

I own 2x Horaco ZX-SWTGW218AS and 1x ZX-SWTGW215AS and have trouble wih 2 of them:

- #1 is working flawlessly
- #2 is working a few days without issue, and then
- MAC Address and Gateway Address are screwed up (I get a notification from my router that it has detected a "new" device)
- hours or days later, the IP-Address is also screwed up (just guessing, I can't access the device anymore).
- Switching works without issue, it's kind of an unmanageble switch then ;-)

#3 has the same error as #2, but the issue appears after few hours or sometimes after a couple of minutes.

Setting to factory default or reflashing firmware did not help.
After a Powercycle. the switches start to operate normally again.

Has anyone encountered such problems?
Has anyone an idea how to fix this?

Probably these firmware are not suitable for SKS3200M-5GPY1XF, because when trying to flash at some point the loading of the firmware stops and nothing happens. After turning off the power and turning on again the loading cyclic.
