Has anyone managed to flash a 4+2 unmanaged to managed

I have a Hisource K0402WS with BoyaMicro 25Q16BSSiG Flash Chip
that would be nice to get managed

SNMP for Cheap Switch

I have a HC-SWTGW218AS and so far it works really good.
But i´m missing SNMP for monitoring of the interfaces as i have them on all my other Switches (HP).

Well i found a Github Project GitHub - pvelati/cheap-switch-exporter: Prometheus Exporter for cheap switch boxes without SNMP which export all the Interface statistics to Prometeus.
The way it does this is to retreive the content from the port statistic page of the Admin Internface.
This works allready for severall cheap switches.

So the idea is to use the same way to get the metrics, but instead the Prometheus Exporter, we could use a go snmpd Server to provide the metrics via SNMP v2 or simular.

@pvelati or anyone in the Forum with good Go Language skills and interrested to program this ?

Yours

Hi

Looking for some help

I have an XGSPON Stick running in the SFP Port (5) of the switch which connects to Virgin Media (VM). Traffic from VM is tagged with VLAN 100. I want to send this traffic to my router connected on Port (1) but strip off the VLAN 100. How would I set this up so that the traffic is routed through to my router with no VLAN ID? In addition how would I still be able to access the web ui of the XGSPON stick from Port(2)?

Thanks

You would need something that does Routing. Could be a pfsense. That would be your gateway for the different networks. And you can make rules to route one vlan to the other.

it won't work... your providers in uk/gb are bstrds.. and have all locked..
It will only work if u away from uk... u need to do it like this :
or this :
I have the XGSPON stick configured and connecting to the ISP. The problem I have is plugging in my router to port 1 to get the public ip from my ont connection in port 5 (XGSPON stick) as traffic from my ISP is on VLAN 100 but my router cannot be configured for VLAN 100. So I have set up VLAN 100 tagged on port 5 and VLAN 100 untagged on port 1. Does that make sense?

Hello,

I have bought a Keeplink 9000 switch (came with firmware 100.9.5). Has anyone managed to get any form of port aggregation working with a QNAP NAS?
To start with, on the switch you can choose static or LACP, does it really support 802.3ad?
I've ended up doing a network reset of the QNAP numerous time because whatever I tried, it failed and I lost connectivity.

Thanks.

Edit: got it working after a switch reset, not sure why. Configured lacp on the qnap, then on the Keeplink, and it was OK, so it does support 802.3ad with recent firmware.

u will not solve anything with you to connecting Rx TX ... these chinese cheap switches does NOT operate like cisco , or juniper or all amerikan network appliances.. they don't have full command line support.. cli like you used to ...
I already tried and unsuccessful

It’s not that I’m expecting or trying something — I was simply curious. Just like the path you've taken.
Thanks for the password! I was able to log in.

Exactly it is expensive everywhere just for fkn 2.5gig throughput people are satisfied and it brings not much to the life.. or speed of net right ?
people are brainwashed in every segment or path of the life..
I remember tp link been cheap but they skyrocketed and they put prices like amerikans do.. now usa government wants to ban tp link just because it is chinese brand....

Hi,
I've seen a lot of info about the 8+1 port switch.
I was trying to figure out if someone have the a firmware for the 4+2 port one.

Is someone been ablt to covert one of the "N" variant to smart/managed?
So is there a managed firmware for the SWTG024AS-v2?

Hello,

New issue I discovered with the switch (Keeplink 9000).... If my NAS with PLEX is connected on it, my Quest 3 doesn't find anymore the Plex DLNA server. If I just unplug the NAS and plug it in the router, not the switch, it works fine... so it's neither Plex nor a Q3 issue. I've googled and found somebody who had the same issue with another managed switch and solved it by disabling igmp snooping on the switch, but it doesn't solve the issue for me.
Any idea? I'm about to return this switch.....

Well, I reset it once more, and now DLNA works. But the only setting I had changed was the IGMP snooping, so it doesn't make much sense. And after reset, I've tried to re-enable LACP on the 2 ports for my NAS and... I didn't recover the connection, I had to reset the NAS network too, although it worked fine before this switch reset!
It seems there are some nasty bugs in the firmware.

Used prices for 2.5G switches on ebay are mostly ridiculous, 95% dreamers there...
