From your description I don't see anything wrong except port not being lit on the status page.
What does it show on the "Port Status" page?
Also ICMP and TCP/UDP can have (and sometimes do have) different default firewall rules.
Have you checked connectivity with anything more than ping?
Yeah, so far I only pinged the router from a different subnet. It might also have something to do with my custom firewall rules (basically blocked all DNS servers and made the firewall available. But for me to test it with a client would require an MGMT IP Address..
I will try to manually assign one, but so far it seems like VLAN forwarding is buggy with these switches.
Edit:
Regarding the ports that show black - they appear as unassigned, even though they are occupied and I have traffic. Port 8 was the one I wanted to assign to VLAN123 but it doesn't work
