Did the vendor ever get back to you? I have the keeplink version of the switch and I was not able to get a copy of the firmware from the vendor.I looked at using the firmwares in this thread also, but it is too different for me to try. Waiting for vendor to get back to me.
It shouldn't of touched the bootloader/backup partitions so if you have USB to 3.3V TTY serial adapter you can just holdESCand power on the switch and it'll go into upload mode athttp://192.168.1.1where you can use the proper firmware update.

Sys light blinking, this should be solidHey guys, my switch (ampcom wamjhj-8125mng) is physically acting weird. Right now it is working as a dumb switch.
In summary, all 1Gb connection are showing orange and blinks with activity - normal
While all 2.5Gb connections are showing solid orange
Checked all endpoints and they are all showing 2.5Gb link and iperf shows average of 2.34Gbits/secs transfer.
I can't access the IP address I assigned it with. Holding the reset button for 10, 30, 60 secs didn't do anything. Also tried the power off, hold reset + power for 30 secs didn't do anything as well. Is there any special reset procedure for this switch?
Any help would be appreciated.
Is that an official firmware update or a modified one?Sys light blinking, this should be solid
ok so I fixed this myself. no amount of holding the reset button will fix this. Here's how I did it
1. Set your computer's IP address to anything that's within the 192.168.1.0 network just go with the default /24 subnet mask
2. open up 192.168.1.1 from your browser and upload the file from here https://cdn.shoplazza.com/8b589a2df28a47bb7c255e3c6a56764b.zip
3. Wait and your switch will reboot. Problem fixed.
official I believeIs that an official firmware update or a modified one?![]()

Not sure if Flow Control is the solution to your problem. Flow control is for when an interface is congested. It will tell the other end to stop sending for a while. But with a big transfer the link will probably be dropped anyway if the interface is overwhelmed. In the end the problem will need to be handled on the application side, in this case SMB.I think i have figured out the problem with slow smb speed with sfp+ ports
aparently you have to enable flow control or it causes latency issues
This is broken on the firmware on the sfp+ port
this needs to be chased up with the odm
how have you nerds not noticed this
this ofc makes the 4 + 2 SFP+ unmanaged switches useless for SFP+
these are also useless for SFP+ until this is fixed in firmware

It is in the same vlan?Hi! i just received the horaco 2.5GbE Managed Switch 8 Port with SFP+ port. I managed to set it up via direct connection to one eth port, but i cannot reach it anymore as i connect it to my LAN via SFP port.
Anyone had the same issue, or have some ideas about this problem?
I tried to find infos in the forum but no luck.
Many thanks! regards.
Luca
Hi! Yes the same.It is in the same vlan?
If you confirm that they indeed use the same hardware, then most likely yes. POEPLUS simply rebrand Hasivo units as far as I know. In fact, POEPLUS support helped me get Hasivo to develop a firmware update for my Hasivo switch and it was pretty clear from our conversation that they didn't have their own firmware development team. Their support team was better than Hasivo's though. Is it possible to cross-flash devices that "look" similar? Hasivo seems to offer newer firmwares on their web site, while Sodola and Poeplus dont.
SL-SWTGW218AS -> SODOLA 8 Port 2.5G + 10G SFP+, Web, currently on 1.9 (Hardware Version "V1.1") -> is this S1100W-8GT-1SX-S?
S1108GTP-SX-SL -> POEPLUS 8 Port 2.5G + 10G SFP+, POE++, Web, currently on 1.6 (Hardware Version "HS73_V1.05") -> is this S1100WP-8GT-1SX-SE?
Most hardware is now made in China or Taiwan anyway. Once bought a HP printer. My Linux computer detected that the printer was actually made in Taiwan. The only thing HP was the label on the case. Can't say I would put any Chinese/noname branded switch on my network.
If something isn't designed in Europe (or Japan, Taiwan or South Korea) I'm probably never going to trust it.
Of the switches in the guide, I'd trust:
- Mikrotik
- Netgear
- QNap
I might be persuaded to trust the following (but I am not there yet)
- Zyxel (hey, I remember them from the modem days!)
- TrendNET (may not be from an authoritarian country, but is synonymous with cheap and disposable garbage tech as far as I am concerned)
- Asustor (Asus is a well known brand, but maybe not for their serious network tech...)
I would not trust any of the rest:
- Davuaz
- Hasivo
- ienRon
- Keeplink
- Mokerlink
- Nicgiga
- Sodola
- Tenda
- TP-Link
- Vimin
- Xikestor
- YuanLey
- YuLinca
The spammy "random product name generator" brands from authoritarian China with derivative copy & paste tech will never find a place on my network. And you ought to really think twice before using them too. They are a significant security risk.
Stick to real brands instead.
