Just stumbled upon this 100Gb switch and wondered if anybody has practical experience.

The new XikeStor SKS8300-6Q2C - 6xQSFP+ + 2xQSFP28 so its the same number of ports - is powered by Centec CTC7132. The picture mention Centec, so I guess these are powered by them, too. (was looking for switches using the new Realtek SoCs)

I keep wondering how the routing interface looks on these switches. I know that the 10Gb managed Horaco/XikeStor can already do BGP et al. Is it just FRR underneath?

I've been looking at getting one of these switches, or something similar.
I ended up getting a 24x SFP+, 4x QSFP28 switch.
I'll post info when it arrives.
I have seen a few variations, some by planet, some by assmann switch, some by focuscom, others by qsfptek, i believe the focuscom and planet pages have datahserts with power consumption.
Looking at the datasheets, the speced power consumption varies between 30W idle, no ports used and 75Wish maximum.
This seems very good, much better than most enterprise switches, hopefully it also means they're quite quiet.
If my 24x SFP+, 4x QSFP28 switch turns out good, i'll get a 24x SFP+, 2x QSFP28 aswell, the claimed lower power consumption on that is very interesting.

Id be interested to know if the cli on these has options for evpn-vxlan as the underlying centec chips have support for it.

It has arrived. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of moving house so i'm probably not going to have a chance to dig into it for a while.
A cursory glance reveals the following;

It is suspiciously light. It's the first thing that comes to mind when i pick it up.
The PCB is only as big as it needs to be - it really is probably only 1/4 the chassis.
It MUST be low power - it has a tiny heatsink, power supply and fans.
It appears to be a simple 12V powersupply internally. You can probably swap it to whatever you want pretty easily.
It appears to only have 2 wire fans, No tach and no PWM, ideal for modding. Note it does have 4pin headers, I haven't probed it to see if it is just for a pair of fans, or if it is an extra tach and PWM pin.

It does look like a very cost optimized design. The screen printing for the different options look interesting.

I'd like to know about it too and have been trying to find it online, but it is proving to be very elusive.

Sorry for the lack of updates, still moving house and very busy with work.
This XGS-6350-16X8Y4C - Layer 3 100G Switch - PLANET Technology is the variant you mentioned and is mentioned in the silkscreen/legend/overlay. I asked the vendor who sold me the 24x + 4x if they had it but no, unfortunately not.

They do have a 32x 10g, 16x 25g, 4x 100g unit though for not a whole lot more... Maybe after i move...

I did some very minor tests on the switch;

The switch PCBA (no fans, no psu, just fed 12V) draws 26W at idle, no link, no traffic.
With PSU and losses its 29W.
With all of the fans its 36W.
It doesn't need all of the fans - it would probably overheat with no fans powered ( though it would take some time), however a single fan and a 3d printed duct is far more than sufficient to cool it. i will make design a duct for it because it would be nice for it to be near silent.
