High Endurance M.2 (SATA not NVMe) SSD?

I'm looking for a high write endurance (at least 1PB) M.2. SSD in the 600-1TB capacity range. This will be plugged into an M.2 SATA interface so any drives meant for PCIe/NVMe speeds will be wasted and thus I'd rather not pay for that if I can avoid it.

Any recommendations?

M.2 (Sata) is not common for enterprise grade parts.
I would look at the enterprise grade SSDs or M.2 NVMe preferable from Intel.

The only drive i can think of now is a 860 evo 2tb. Its m.2 and has a endurance rating of 1.2PB. But its still a consumer drive. Then don't seem to make m.2 versions of the 860 pro that would work well here.

Most all enterprise m.2 drives are nvme it seems.

Nice find! I'm trying to find hard numbers on the write endurance of these drives. All I see is 1-3 DWPD and 0.65PB - 17.6PB. But I see nothing on what the specs are for each size drive. I'm very interested in the 960GB M.2 version (if i can find it for sale anywhere).

EDIT: Found them for sale on CDW. Also found that it's 4.4PBW for the 960GB version.

Note that that 4.4PBW is for the "Pro" version. The "Eco" version is 'only' 900GB.

That may well be one of your only options the Micron drives, I really can’t think of many high endurance sata m.2 drives around.

Just an FYI, I did wind up purchasing the Micron 5100 Pro 960GB version. Should be arriving this week. The only place that had it for a decent price in the M.2 form factor was CDW.

My main home storage server cache drive. Drive gets a lot of write action with downloading/extracting of files in addition to being a write cache for all my network shares.
