Hi,
I have a problem: SMART status of my drive is "unknown". It is also not possible to write or read the drive, it cannot be initialized, too. Though, I can see the right size of the drive and all SMART parameters except Threshold. As far as I know, it happened after unsuccessful low level format. Please help me to restore the original firmware or to do sth else to get the drive to working condition. I think I need a firmware and a tool do restore it. Thank you!

The model of the drive is HGST HDN726060ALE614

I also attach a screenshot.

Thank you.

It persists. And diskpart does not help:

DISKPART> create partition primary

Disk is uninitialized, initializing it to GPT.

DiskPart has encountered an error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
See the System Event Log for more information.

It says unknown (I'm pretty sure) because there are no thresholds detected. Did this drive ever work in your possession? Try in a linux machine and use gdisk?

It was Victoria 5.36, it has hitachi commands support. It did not allow me to do low level format in SATA mode, so I connected the drive by USB and after that I "succeded". (yes, I know it was silly) :(
