Sellers lists as new. (Both sellers look very similar?) 6 and 7 drives avail respectively.
12 GB/s model SAS interface
OEM drives
Firmware Version A100

HUSMM8080ASS200 - HITACHI ULTRASTAR SSD800GB 2.5" SSD/SAS 12Gb/S

HITACHI ULTRASTAR SSD800GB 2.5" SSD/SAS 12GB /s 800GB SAS HUSMM8080ASS200

Seller advises you check with them first regarding compatibility to your application (or system).

Review in June 2013 when drives came out, listed limited compatibility with HBAs:

....On a similar note, does anyone have any idea what happened to forum member @workingnonstop ?

He had (I believe 30+) HUSMM1616ASS201 1.6TB SAS3 SSD's listed for sale @$480 ea.. I tried relentlessly to buy at least 8 of them for weeks, both here on the forum and through his Ebay listing. Could never get a response.

Maybe he's upset about the deal someone stole from him? That's the last day he was on the forum according to the public profile of his here.
Odd though that he's not selling on ebay or here...

I guess I'm not familiar with the incident you're referring to.. He put the same post up on other forums. No luck there either.

I just assumed that he was the sensitive type and didn't like my initial offer... but after a while I told him to tell me what the number was and I'd take them... Total radio silence.

Would 2 of these in mirror be a good option for a VM datastore share in a 10G network? Will be connecting to the onboard LSI 3008 in an X11SSH-CTF

If you mean the deal with Samsung drives then he got these drives at the end: seller has told me that eBay support obliged to cancel my order and finish the previous one :) so that case had the happy end to him :)

I am alive and well... I started a new job so had to put selling on the back burner. My last thread update was when I was trying to get as much stuff sold ahead of my start as possible.

HGST drives are still kicking around, but I need to figure out my plan for them. I had someone local offer me more than my asking price here for the entire lot of 25 with trays, but has gone quiet so I need to see if that's still live before doing anything. Looks like I have a bunch of PMs, so will try my best to come back tonight and sort through those.

Yep.. you have a few weeks worth from me on STH and Ebay...

I'd still be interested in a few at the right price, but I'm in for 12 PM963's and 8 PM953's (all 960gb) already.

Are those not crazy expensive? I feel like I see them listed for about $300 all of the time.. For instance, These are a little more than $300, but have a best offer option available. Bet he'd take $300 each:
HGST Ultrastar SSD800M 800GB 12G 2.5 SAS MLC NAND SSD HUSMM8080ASS200 0B28589 | eBay

IIRC, the ones to avoid are the MR variant, correct?

Unless I'm missing something, for the kind of $ you're talking about you should easily be able to find the 1.6TB MM's...

I believe these are pretty solid drives as well...
SanDisk SDLTODKR-800GB Lighting ECO 12Gb/s SAS - 2.5 SSD - SDLTODKR-800G-5CA1 | eBay

Or these:

MZILS1T9HCHP‐00003 Samsung PM1633 1920GB SAS 3.0‐12Gb/s 2.5'' 15mm SFF‐8680 SSD | eBay
