Hgst ultrastar 8tb HUH728080ALE600 / 0F23267 low write speeds

I got 9 used drives and all of them have the same issue. Reads are normal in the 185-205 MB/s range but writes always start high then afte 3-4 seconds they go down to 70MB/s.

Replaced sata cables
Used internal sata ports on motherboard (supermicro)
used another motherboard (asus)
Storage spaces speeds are even worse in the 20-25 MB/s range.
S.M.A.R.T. shows no error. These have 3000-3500 power on hours and no reallocated bad sectors.

I have 3 brand new 6tb ultrastar he8 and these get 180-190 MB writes/s on the same two motherboard.

Did I get 9 faulty drives or maybe I'm missing something obvious?

SATA cables directly connected to drives? Any interposer or chassis/backplane?

How are you testing the speed? What are you copying to them?

Are the drives in some kind of RAID? Or you're just writing to 1 drive directly and getting this speed?

Copying from my nas. Also copying from my ssd still same speeds. I think I will return them because I don't have a lot of time to be troubleshooting them.
