Uh, strange. Can you post also dmesg now? Then pull the disk, reinsert, wait 10-20 secs to spinup, then dmesg again?

Maybe they have a very good locking mechanism from firmware...never saw it before.

Looks good, with other disk this is exactly how it should be. Try reboot to unraid and see if it throws errors again. If it does, then I'm out of ideas.

Thanks for the help, I tried rebooting and still the same. Seems the drives are not easy to fix. I'm trying to get the seller to take them back although its past 30 days. I'm sitting on 40 of these bricks. Thanks again.

Yes, giving them back is best option.
