HGST HUSMM1616ASS201 only work on 6gb

I have one HUSMM1616ASS201 drive with EMC firmware B250 which purchase from ebay. It should be 12GB SAS3 if base on drive type. But when i connect it to LSI 9300 HBA, it can only work on 6GB mode.
I have another similar drive HUSMM1680ASS201 with same firmware B250, it's working normally on 12GB mode when connected to 9300 HBA.

Im not sure if there are some internal parameters which can control connection mode, hope your great help.

Were you ever able to address this issue @wormcoffee ? Unfortunately i'm struggling to update this firmware (B204), but also have noticed my SSDs are only running 6.0 Gb/s.

Isn't LSI 9266-8i only capable of handling SAS2 which means 6.0gbps?

Hrmm, right you are, sir. Thank you kindly for pointing out my blunder. Apparently i saw that some C240-M3S supported some 12Gbps drives, but obviously with a different controller. Appreciate the input.

I have the same problem with OEM EMC HGST SSD,
Link speed only 6GB/s.
Maybe we can use it with dual port mode?

I don't know if it is the case here, but OEM firmware sometimes has the higher speeds disabled. I've run into that with Seagate spinners with Dell OEM firmare in the past.
