I get a used HDD HGST HUS726060AL5210 with fw ver :A519. No smart info.
I search forums and cisco website or supermirco web.
I get the least ver fw ADD5.bin
First I use LSI 9400 HBA card and windows server OS storcli64 command to update the HDD fw follow by cisco website hdd fw upgrade guide. it failed on download step.
So I use old LSI 9267 RAID card ,and install a centos7 on a ssd to try the linux version storcli64. It worked.
./storcli64 /c0 show all to check the LSI Raid card info and hdd slot number.
my case is the hdd in card 0 slot 5.
check the hdd info use
./storcli64 /c0/s5 show all
update the hdd firmware use command
./storcli64 /c0/s5 download src=/opt/MegaRAID/storcli/add5.bin
after about 30 sec, it show download success.
I check the hdd info again by command
./storcli64 /c0/s5 show all
