Greetings
I got the following drives:
4x HITACHI DKR2H-H10RSS firmware HHHH
1x HGST HUH721010AL5200 firmware LS21
Whenever I cold boot, from no power, the drives will go into write protection so I cannot import their zfs2 pool again and just returns the drives as unavilable.
I have done a full format on the drives with:
sg_format --format --size=4096 --fmtpinfo=0 --ffmt=0 --wait /dev/sdX
Which should clear any write portections but whenever the power has been cut form the system it will be protected again from any writes. I cannot find any flags or anything that suggest write portection is on as I get
Protection: prot_en=0, p_type=0
Write Protect is off
RO=0
No persistent reservations
but it will not let me import them with write. I can import the pool in a read only state no problem, but not in a RW.
Please I am at a complete loss of how to fix this - I have the drives on a truenas system through a SAS9300-8i with Firmware Version: 16.00.16.00
Driver: mpt3sas 48.100.00.00.
I can pay if someone is willing to help me.
